Personal history of psychotic disorders is an absolute contraindication for all 5-HT₂A agonist psychedelics. LAE-32's presumed 5-HT₂A partial agonism carries the same risk of psychosis precipitation as other classical psychedelics.

family history of schizophrenia, family history of schizoaffective disorder, family history of psychotic disorder

Family history of psychotic disorders elevates the risk of psychedelic-precipitated psychosis. This is a class-level relative contraindication for all 5-HT₂A agonists.

bipolar I with psychotic features, bipolar II with psychotic features

Bipolar disorder with psychotic features carries elevated risk of manic or psychotic episode precipitation with serotonergic psychedelics. Class-level relative contraindication.

pregnancy, planned pregnancy

No reproductive toxicity data exist for LAE-32. Ergoline compounds are contraindicated in pregnancy as a class due to uterotonic properties (e.g., ergometrine). The absence of safety data combined with class-level risk warrants a relative contraindication.

MAOI therapy, moclobemide, phenelzine, tranylcypromine, selegiline (oral high-dose), isocarboxazid

Concurrent MAOI use with any serotonergic psychedelic carries risk of severe serotonin syndrome — hyperthermia, autonomic instability, rigidity, and altered mental status. This interaction is well-documented for tryptamine and ergoline classes.

lithium therapy

Lithium use is an absolute contraindication for classical psychedelics. Case reports describe seizures when LSD-class compounds are combined with lithium. No LAE-32-specific case data exist.

SSRI therapy, SNRI therapy

Concurrent SSRI or SNRI use with serotonergic psychedelics can produce unpredictable effect modification — ranging from blunted effects to serotonergic potentiation. Class-level relative contraindication.
