Cardiovascular
- cardiovascular diseaserelative
cardiac arrhythmias, uncontrolled hypertension, structural heart disease
Tachycardia is documented across multiple case reports. Pre-existing cardiac conditions increase risk from sympathomimetic cardiovascular stress.
Neurological
- epilepsyrelative
One case of cyclic myoclonus has been documented. Individuals with epilepsy or lowered seizure threshold should consider this a relative contraindication.
Psychiatric
- bipolar disorderabsolute
Bipolar disorder (type I or II) is contraindicated due to risk of triggering manic or mixed episodes. The stimulating character of 5-MeO-DALT may further increase this risk.
- psychotic disordersabsolute
Personal or family history of psychotic disorders (schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder) represents an absolute contraindication. 5-MeO-DALT's confirmed 5-HT2A agonism carries the established class risk of psychosis precipitation.
Hepatic

Significant hepatic impairment reduces clearance, potentially prolonging and intensifying exposure.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

Concurrent use with MAO inhibitors is absolutely contraindicated. 5-MeO-DALT is metabolized by CYP enzymes with probable MAO involvement; MAO inhibition would substantially increase plasma levels and serotonergic activity.

Concurrent use with SSRIs, SNRIs, tramadol, or triptans carries elevated serotonin syndrome risk.
