Psychiatric
- psychotic disordersabsolute
Personal or family history of schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, or other primary psychotic disorders. 4-HO-DiPT's potent 5-HT2A agonism carries the same psychosis precipitation risk as other serotonergic psychedelics.
- bipolar disorderrelative
Bipolar disorder, especially with history of psychotic features. Risk of manic episode precipitation. Short duration of 4-HO-DiPT may partially mitigate but does not eliminate this risk.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding

- SSRI/SNRI userelative
Concurrent SSRI or SNRI use. Dual concern: reduced psychedelic efficacy and serotonin syndrome risk.
