Relative contraindication for individuals with uncontrolled hypertension, coronary artery disease, or other significant cardiovascular pathology. Transient autonomic effects are clinically insignificant in healthy individuals but may be dangerous in compromised cardiovascular systems.

Relative contraindication for individuals with epilepsy or other seizure disorders. Seizure threshold lowering is a class-level concern for LSD-type compounds.

Absolute contraindication for individuals with current or past psychotic disorders, or first-degree family history of psychosis. LSD-class compounds are well-established precipitants of acute psychotic episodes.

Relative contraindication. Risk of manic episode precipitation. Clinical psychedelic trials typically exclude bipolar disorder.

Absolute contraindication during pregnancy. No safety data exist. Ergoline class has historical associations with uterotonic activity.

Relative contraindication for adolescents. Developing brains may have increased vulnerability to hallucinogen persisting perception disorder and other long-term perceptual effects.

Absolute contraindication for concurrent lithium use. Reported seizure risk with LSD-class compounds. Evidence is from harm reduction literature rather than controlled studies.
