4-PrO-DMT Facts

Psychedelic; Entheogen; Hallucinogen; Substituted tryptamine; Serotonin 2A receptor agonist

Description

4-PrO-DMT (4-propionyloxy-N,N-dimethyltryptamine) is an emerging synthetic psychedelic of the tryptamine class. It activates serotonin receptors in the brain, producing the visual and cognitive shifts characteristic of classical psychedelics.[1]

Subjective effects include geometric visual patterns, brightened colors, deepened introspection, ego dissolution, and emotional intensification.[2] The experience is indistinguishable from psilocybin or psilacetin — a warm, inward-turning state shaped more by psychological mindset and surroundings than by the compound itself.

4-PrO-DMT produces no physical dependence, and the psilocin class has a very wide margin between active and dangerous doses.[3][4] The primary risk is psychological — the compound amplifies whatever mindset the person brings, and high doses or psychiatric vulnerability can produce panic or paranoid thinking.
